When we were living in Grand Forks, my Auntie brought this way-cool canning jar all the way over with her on the train. It was filled with raspberries and sugar, and with daily attention over the course of a year I was left with a delicious raspberry chambord.

Now I'm trying something with plums. I have an abundance of them from a plum tree in our backyard, so here's what I did:
- plums, sugar, cheap vodka
- dark, cool place
- stir every few days
- cross my fingers!
